The Blue Green Governance early career researchers network – the CoLab – aims to build a network of early career researchers and build capacity in research leadership through peer exchange. The CoLab is open to PhD students and post-doctoral researchers within 10 years of their PhD completion.
The network focuses on marine social sciences, and will look at three major topics facing early career researchers until December 2026:

Coordination team
The CoLab is led by early career researchers, for early career researchers. Coordinated by the University of Portsmouth and the University of Valencia, it’s led by:
Tegan Evans, a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Blue Governance at the University of Portsmouth, focusing on transformation..
Joan Enguer Saus, a post-doctoral researcher focusing on environmental governance in coastal areas at the Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science, University of Valencia
Irene Luján Climent, is a predoctoral researcher specializing in environmental governance, coastal socio-ecological systems, and European sustainability policies at the Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science, University of Valencia
Cassandra Tocco, a Senior Research Associate in coastal and marine management and governance at the Centre for Blue Governance, University of Portsmouth, currently preparing a PhD by publications.
Analisa Caruso, Joan Enguer Saus, Tegan Evans, Gianluca Ferraro, Cassandra Tocco, Irene Lujan, and Eva Gomis.
