Conference on Coastal Wetlands Conservation

To commemorate World Wetlands Day, celebrated annually on February 2nd, the University of Valencia organized a significant conference on February 7th at the Law Faculty. The event, titled “Conservation of Valencian Coastal Wetlands: Governance and Citizen Participation,” was open to the public, including faculty students, and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of wetlands and the challenges they face.

Gianluca Ferraro presented the BlueGreen Governance project, which focuses on sustainable management and conservation of coastal wetlands. Irene Luján then pointed the Valencian case study within the project, providing a localized coastal wetlands perspective on the issues
