BlueGreen Governance will be present on the ECSA 61 conference in Brussels (24-27 august). The title of the conference is: Bridging the gap between science and policy in estuarine and coastal marine biodiversity: the way forward. So it’s clear BGG has to be present on this conference which tries to bring together a global multi-disciplinary community of researchers and professionals.

The interactive BGG-workshop explores how co-creation, collaborative learning, and governance innovation support sustainability transformations in coastal and estuarine regions.

Building on experiences from Horizon Europe case studies (including BlueGreen Governance) and global practice, the session will:

• Identify practical learning pathways emerging from coastal governance initiatives
• Examine barriers and enabling conditions for science–policy integration
• Facilitate exchange between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners
• Generate shared insights on transformative coastal futures
