Harmonizing land and sea for a sustainable tomorrow

In the project BlueGreenGovernance we are developing innovative land-sea governance schemes.

Why? Because the current management of oceans, seas and coasts is fragmented across multiple institutional layers and policy areas and based on past experience.

The project responds to the need for better-informed decision-making processes, social engagement and digital innovation.

About BlueGreen Governance

BlueGreenGovernance pursues an approach to the governance of seas and coastal areas that:

The project will implement and assess these innovative governance schemes in cases in seven European regions and sea basins. In these pilots we will draw lessons om how to trigger and facilitate effective institutional change.

To achieve these goals BlueGreenGovernance develops in four steps, corresponding to thematic Work Packages.
